You Farted

on a twin size mattress!
there was no escaping it.
in my studio apartment
we were warm spoons, tenderly
embraced, and then suddenly
we were ENGULFED!

thick smog of Korean bbq
fumes bursting through
the seams of the comfortor
like smelly aerosol toots
from an onion-scented axe canister;

and we couldn’t stop laughing.

my electric radiator constantly pushing the gas
back and down
into the corner where our mattress
laid, and we laid back
down
and fell asleep,
basking in hilarious
tender stench.
