The Minimalist Ocean

There’s water
and only two kinds of fish:
small and medium.
Both are gray.

The reefs are smooth,
convex arches
that go for a while
then end in right angles.

I dive
in near clear
blue. I witness both
kinds of fish. Their schools
are little more than dots
clustered below the horizon.
